Product Overview ASME SA179 Aluminum Extruded Finned Tubes are designed for industrial air-cooled heat exchangers requiring efficient heat transfer and reliable fin-to-tube bonding. Manufactured with seamless cold-drawn SA179 low-carbon steel base tubes and mechanically extruded aluminum fins, these bimetallic tubes provide an enlarged external heat transfer surface while maintaining good thermal contact between the fins and base tube. They are suitable for cooling process

As an engineer in Siberia, I tested these fin tubes in extreme cold (-30°C). The ASTM A213 T11 steel performed well with no thermal cracks, and cooling efficiency met expectations (88%). That said, the Russian-language documentation had translation errors in technical terms, causing minor confusion during installation.

Using these in oil and gas heat exchangers. Checked the material reports and everything is perfect. These extruded tubes have high strength, making installation a breeze. The seller was patient and helped with all our technical questions.

Quality is top-tier, and the price is very competitive compared to others. Most importantly, the SA249 TP304 wall thickness is uniform and the welding looks beautiful.
